Love Is the Greatest

Some years back, I watched an episode of Oprah Winfrey's show and the topic was on Love. Since many marriages were failing in America, that show just had to happen. I was happy that of all the resources at her disposal, she turned to the Bible for a solution. She read I Corinthians 13.

"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages."

In this Department, some of my friends think I'm a learner or not yet got it yet. Okay, here is the catch "Love is a Verb, more than a Noun. Its an action word". Love is the most used word in the world. This is an extract from my youth Bible my Father gave me when I was young.

"Am I Really in Love? Test yourself to discover whether you're really in love. " I love you if ..." I value your uniqueness. I freely give my joy, interests knowledge, understanding, humour and sadness to you. I give you freedom to be true to yourself. I am happy to be with you most of the time. I really like, trust and respect you. I want our relationships to be permanent, I focus on your personality, not just sexual feelings, "I care about your pleasures and well-being as much as my own. I feel like I "belong" to you. Our relationships has deepened during the past six months. When we're really in Love, we can honestly answer "Yes" to these questions. The lover in songs of Solomon are enthralled with each other. Read Song of Solomon 2:10-17."

If you need clarity about Love, talk to some persons you respect and want to be like.
